Hoarding Working Groups

Cherry Rudge (Creator of the Hoarding Ice-Breaker Form) is an advisor to various Hoarding Working Groups including the National Fire Chief’s Council (NFCC) and Surrey County Council, with a particular interest in raising awareness of Neurodiversity and improving the way local authorities manage the care and support offered to people affected by clutter, disorganisation and hoarding behaviours.

Hoarding Protocols

The Hoarding Ice-Breaker Form is now being included in hoarding protocols and guidelines documents, and has been successfully adapted for use by (for example):

  • Charities – eg. Mind
  • Housing Associations – eg. as part of major refurbishment projects, to start conversations with residents who will need to move out of their accommodation.

Expert Witness Reports

Our Expert Witness Court Report service successfully prevented a chronically disorganised person with a chronic health condition from being prosecuted as a result of various agencies failing to recognise hidden disabilities (and assuming the person had hoarding behaviours), and their non-compliance with the local Hoarding & Self-Neglect Protocol.

Please contact us to discuss any projects you may have that might benefit from utilising the Hoarding Ice-Breaker Form.
